Thanks a lot. Should work for me as well then. I'll let you know how i make out. You dont know how long i spent yesterday trying to get this to work with the manual's directions....

Oh ...one last thing...when you said turn IG on..you mean turn the car on...or just push the button to the ORANGE (ACC mode i think).

Woo hoo....i was finally able to reset it....thank goodness..that was a royal nuissance.

while we r on the topic of warning messages, what other warning messages does the GS give with regards to service levels? are these messages based on some intelligent sensors that know what is due for service? or are they simply time based warnings?

Both actually.....tire flats are from sensors....oil is based on mileage (that is from the manual...not from the quality of the oil).

I know I've been hard on my dealers lately. But just a week ago, I had my GS430 serviced and they didn't reset the light too. Lexus of Westport. Another screw up.

With what you're paying....i would be pissed too. With my $50 jiffy lube oil change, i didnt mind having to figure out how to reset the warning message. I can understand your frustration.

no offense, but you payed $50 for a Jiffy lube oil change? the Lexus dealer charges same price
