i guess the lowness is just a japan thing, socal and my thing. i think its just an influence thing. i grew up around low riders and dumped cars everywhere. thats probably why i like they way it is. im not an expert though, its just my thought.
ah, coo. ACleanSC4 and I went by there about 3 weeks ago? We saw their Scion mini van w/ those deep dish and air runner. I'm so tempted to get it! Next time we go, i'll PM you so we can meet up or something...
I have nothing against lowering cars(aside from possible scraping over bumps & while entering some parking lots/driveways), but just enough to close the wheel gap which makes it look better, but not lowered to the extent shown in the pic, & worst of all, slammed to the ground like some of the VIP cars looks really stupid & ungainly IMO.
I dunno, I happen to like that look. And as for the problem of scraping over bumps and inclines, that's what air suspension is for.
If anything, the whole purpose of an air sus is to make the photos taken of the car look cool for the magazines.
As a previous owner of an airrunner Aristo, I can tell you that I have zero use for that suspension other than slamming it to 0 inch from the ground for shows and meets. On daily basis, I leave the height higher than what I had it with coilovers....
By the way, airrunner rides exactly like stock, if not better.
