Well it happend
got my first chip on the hood, think it was a rock from a truck. Anybody know of any tricks to applying the touch-up paint? Touch-up on my 2GS looked, well so touched-up, Like a ball of paint. I tried applying with tooth pic and a few other ways but the results are the same. How about thinning the paint? Any tricks you guys may know so to make it look not so touched-up? Thanks!

Why oh why don't you have a clear bra? Could have saved yourself the exquisite pain of a chip on your baby.
Check the detailing forum- huge amount of info on touching up.

Depending on the size of the chip, the Langka repair kit may work for you. A clear bra is always a good investment.

I'm about to try a toothpick for a few of the very small scratches on my GS. For larger scratches in the past I've had luck with using a small match. I'm referring to the kind of matches you pick up for free at restaurants, bars, etc. I would cut off the head of the match with a pair of sharp scissors. Then, I would angle cut each side of the tip of the match to approximately match the size of the scratch needed to be filled.
The paper match wicks up the paint nicely so it doesn't just blob on the car. Just dab it once or twice to fill the depression.
