These two dealer's service departments do something that's amazingly annoying. They change my license plate brackets to theirs each time I go in for service.
I have a 04 GX470 and a 06 GS430 and I continue to remove the license plate brackets, and they continue to put theirs back on.
I cannot adequately explain how much this irritates me. The gall of the dealer assuming I want to drive around advertising their company.
Does anyone else have a dealer that does this, and if so does it bother you?

this has never happened to me, but i think it's b/c i have personal frames on there (lexus 3d logo in chrome) holding my plates, so they would be ripping me off if they replaced it with their dealer frames.
but that is pretty shocking they go through so much effort to do that. i would certainly put that on the complaint form or tell the cust serv mgr when they call. so annoying!

Never happened to me whenever I go to Greenwich or Westport for service-related work, although I have a Lexus of Westport bracket mounted in the rear (just happened to find one on the ground in their service lot)

I don't have a personal brack on it. I don't prefer a license prate bracket, just the plate itself.

Of they offered to pay as a sponsor, I'd reconsider, but until then nope. Next thing you know, I'll have spark plug and motor oil banners on the side of the car... to me it's the same thing.

I consider it theft. Jack Daniels, an Audi dealer here in NJ does it all the time. I had my A8 serviced there once and they changed the plates. Needless to say, I will never go back there again.
I don't think it is an issue with Lexus dealers in NJ. My friend in Branford, CT, came all the way down to Jersey to buy his RX because it couldn't stand the dealer in CT.
