Default Blackberry 7100g and Bluetooth- help

I have successfully paired the two devices and have had very satisying results with normal calls. My question is about Phone Book Transfer. When I initiate the procedure on the NAV screen, it prompts me to "send phone book from the phone." I can't find anywhere in the Blackberry docs where it would allow you to "send the phone book." Any ideas?

Additionally, it appears the only way to register new numbers in the GS's phone book is by import from the cell phone via phone book transfer, or by grabbing them from the call log. Is there a way to assign a name to a number you have grabbed from the log?

Thanks in advance.

I have the same phone and unfortunately, none of the blackberry series have the ability to send or receive contacts wirelessly.

I agree. I don't know why RIM doesn't believe anyone needs that functionality. I got around it because I don't use the phone functionality of my 7100. I carry a Motorola Razr for making calls and that does sync with the GS -- though only one entry at a time. You can't send your entire phonebook to the GS with the Motorolas it seems. I also have an old Sony Ericsson T610 that will sync phonebooks but only the first phone number for each contact -- if you have multiple phone numbers per name, you are SOL.

In short, the phonebook feature of the GS pretty much sucks in general...

you cannot do voice commands for phone dialing thru the BT system, even if your phone is capable of doing it. which really, really, really, sucks! even the basic BT headsets allow this capability to allow for total handsfree driving, but for some reason the GS does not.
