Hello All,
I am new to the community, but I have been browsing for some time. I just picked up my baby last week, a 2008 GS 350 AWD in Opaline Pearl/Black w/ML.
I think it is amazing that you guys have hooked the GS up to new levels.![Thumb Up](https://www.clublexus.com/forums/images/smilies/thumbsup.gif)

I have one question though from all the wise moders out there.
My wife also drives this car, so springs is not an option, but I do want rims, so without dropping it, what's the biggest size rim/tire combo I can get w/o dropping, cutting, rolling or rubbing and still carry 4 people if needed?![Confused](https://www.clublexus.com/forums/images/smilies/confused.gif)
I was thinking a 20x8.5 up front and a 20x9.5 rear color matched center, design to be picked out later, but need advise from the experts on this tread.
Pictures help, as you all have beautiful machines.
Thanks

there are people here who argue saying 20s would rub regardless, but i don't believe that. i throw out my questions on offset, etc... but no one has been able to answer clearly. bottom line, to ME (just me), if you are willing to sacrifice on offset and the "look", especially when you don't lower the car? it can be done

So I just got off the phone with my rim guy, he said I should not get Staggered rims on my GS because I have AWD, he says it is not recommended. ![Crying](https://www.clublexus.com/forums/images/smilies/Peace.gif)
Is there anyone out there that can either confirm or deny this or better still, has staggered on their GS AWD and has not had any problems with it?![Confused](https://www.clublexus.com/forums/images/smilies/confused.gif)
If not, then 20x8.5 all the way around it will be.

there is a work around that some AWD people did on the BMW forum.
they run the same size all around but run different offsets to give the rear rims a bigger lip than the front, but the overall width for all 4 rims are the same.
this gives you the illusion of a staggered set but in reality, they are the same size.

Thanks guys very much for your help. After sharing your suggestions and comments with my rim guy, we decided that we are going to simply have the manufacturer build the rear wheels with a larger lip so as to appear staggered, therefore, same rim size all around, not offset, just a mass lip look.
Thanks again. CL rules!
