To each his own I guess.

I heard you can get the GS300 V6 motor really strong with turbos. Someone told me that it's the same motor as the Supra.

Very similar..2JZ-GE engine I believe and it's a straight 6. The Aristo sister V300 has the 2JZ-GTE (Supra engine) capable of 600 HP with pump gas.

I'm sure the 530 is a nice car. I wanted a V-8, so I test drove a 99 540i Sport before I bought my GS400. The 540 was fun. Like most people on this club, my choice leaned toward dependability for and every day driver and has mod potential. I don't mean to knock down BMWs, they are nice driving cars.

I really don't care about brand or brand loyalty, I buy what fits me basically. The German cars that do not have forced induction are VERY hard to mod. I hear the Lexus are pretty generous in terms of motor accepting mods.

This owners club takes the experience to the next level. I love reading posts about new mods, checking pics and getting ideas for my upgrades. This site makes owning a Lexus more fun. I don't think you'll get that with a German car.

Thing is, with the German car forums, those guys seem more "extreme" than the folks here. But I agree with you it's all about the Journey your car takes from stock to finished product.

??? Trust me, owners of BMWs do more mods to their cars. They tend to take them to the track a lot more too. There are plenty of boards that deal with BMWs and their modifications.

Has anyone put Supra TT Brakes on the 2006 GS 430 with the 18" wheels?

I don't have any ownership experience with a BMW, but based on the little I have read, I agree 100% with this statement. There are definitely lots of mods available for BMW's - I would think even more than a Lexus. And ofcourse BMW's magic touch chassis dynamics lends such owners to take their cars more to the track (read that is in not just the drag strip - but actually enjoying the cornering prowess of BMW's )

Was more so curious if someone had done it, as I'm working on that for the SC, but have not tested to see if they would fit as of yet...figure people in this forum would know better than myself.
