Is this normal? gs300 revving up
I was driving my 06 gs300 today on the highway and was being a little aggressive, it has 1300 miles so, doing 65, I punch it, full throttle, and it downshifts and were doing about 80-85 and I back off so the car will shift to a higher gear but notice the rpms at 6000 eventhough I had already laid way back off the gas about 4 seconds prior . i tried this a bit later and again, the revs kept very high and almost as if the car was trying to be ready for further acceleration. If it is not floored I dont think it does this, as an almost full throttle causes earlier shifts and none of this high rpm revving...I dont plan on doing this alot but found it odd....

our GS430 does that, but im not sure for 4 secs. it definetly gets ready for further acceleration. like you said when you punch it, then let off, then come back on it, it's still in a lower gear with higher rpm.
