Default Trip to the dealership *pics*

I visited the Rallye Lexus dealership in Long Island yesterday afternoon to test drive the GS300 AWD. This was my first time setting foot in any Lexus dealership and the experience there surpassed all my expectations by far. The people working there are so amicable and are just wonderful to deal with. Ok, enough about the dealership, and onto the actual test drive. So the model I drove was pretty much stock, as it didn't have navi or the ML audio system. I was hoping I could hear the quality of the ML system, but I'll take it from other members of this board that it should be a "required" option. Besides, when I do get this car, I'll definitely be getting the navi which includes the ML system anyway. I loved the supple feel of the leather seats and the serene ambience of the interior cabin, although I wish the power seats moved quicker. It took quite a while to slide the seat back. I like how both side-view mirrors tilt down when you put the car in reverse. When I drove off the dealership, I got to experience the smoothness of the transmission and even stepped on it on the straightaway. The car felt pretty quick to me, and before I knew it, I was doing a little over 60 in a 50mph zone. I was then instructed to branch off the main road and turn into a very quiet, twisty single-lane road. The handling was superb, and steering was accurate and tight. I was so engrossed in taking everything in that I practically blew a stop sign. At least I know the breaks are good! Eventually, I made my way back to the lot and browsed their inventory. I left the dealership with only one thing on my mind, which is to definitely get this car.

Before I left, I decided that the color I felt most compelled to get was the Blue Onyx Pearl. It was either between that or the Quartz Shadow Metallic, which I actually saw first when I first got there, but the moment I saw the dark blue gleaming under the sun, I knew it was meant to be. So here a few pics that I snapped. It's too bad the car was dusty.
