i have GOOD news for everyone that has put aftermarket wheels on their cars and not transferred over their tire pressure sensors......

To bypass the "LOW TRE", "CHECK SYSTEM", or whatever light you are getting in regards to the sensors all you have to do is throw all 4 of the sensors into your spare tire and re-inflate it to 35psi....then under the steering column there is a switch (that i described in an earlier post), press and hold that till you see "PRESSURE INITIAL" on your dash. then shut the car off and turn it back on and the light should dissapear...this trick has workd on TWO GSs, so i KNOW it will work.

KINGPING - i hope this helps you out...please keep me informed (this goes to everyone that tries this trick, please let me know the results, but they should be good)

i dont think there is unless you access it through the scantool. if you buy new sensors you're going to have to have the dealer code them to the car so that it'll recognize it. Really it's a waste of money to do that because all you're going to be doing is throwing them inside the spare...pull the sensors out of the stockers...and replace them w/ normal valve stems...you'll be a few hundred dollars lighter if you bought extras

KINGPING - i agree 100% with foofighter. Any tire shop can easily take the tire sensors out, minimal chage ($5/tire) if any.

Even if you decide to put the stocks back on in the future, the light still wont come on because you have the original sensors still in your spare tire.

Let me know if the trick worked for you. WOuld be interested to hear your results. hope it works !

I dont think there is....What I've been told (by countless shops that I've been to with this problem) the computer is continuous and there isn't a way to override the sensors, not even from the scan tool that Lexus dealerships have.

I'm sure (ok I hope) for those who do put the sensors in their spare realizes its now rendered useless I like the go cart tire idea, makes more since to me and if/when someone comes up with a by-pass you wont need to take your spare apart to remove the sensors, just remove the go cart tire. You can by one cheap on e-bay.

you know what i was think too...kinda funny especially since if you're running 19"+ wheels the spare is pretty useless as GS430x6 said...why not drill holes so you can just mount the sensors so you'd have like 5 valve stems stick out of the spare LOL

Go kart tire is best hehe
