For the 15k they changed the oil, oil filter and air filter. They checked all the other stuff thats on their checklist. For the 20k all they do is change the oil and oil filter and they want $179. I know for the 30k they change the oil, oil filter, air filter, tranny fluid and some other fluids.
I dropped it off at 12:30 and the car was done by 5. When I got there at 12:30 they had 3 loaners available.

Thanks for the info...I've decided I will do all the maintenance on my car from now on...I mean, I did it on my TL before, but I thought the GS would be more complex...However, I looked under the hood for the first time, since I bought the car!!!! LOL...and it was pretty do-able...Anyway, I am not giving Lexus another dime...

I've called three orange county dealers and the prices are insane!
I guess I don't get how they can sleep at night!
Tustin wanted $415
Mission Viejo wanted $287
Newport Lexus wanted $440
So low and behold I call Longo in El Monte, the place I bought the car from and they wanted $178.21, what a far cry from the rest of them. I know Mission viejo was not too far from Longo but 100 dollars is still a lot of money!
The best part is they will pick up my car on a flatbed truck, give me a loaner and pick it bring it back in two days at no extra charge! The only kicker is that I have to wait about 10 days but im fine with that.
I should have called them a week ago!

Here in Switzerland all services are free for the first 3 years or 100'000km.
Service evrey 15000km (9300 miles)
Complete check up every 30'000km or 2 years!!!
Granted they are more expensive here but at least they give you the royal treatment...
Would you U.S lexus owers pay more for your new car if it included full service?

Update to update:
Ok, so after 3 hrs without a phone call from Keyes I HAD TO CALL. His explanation was that they balanced the tires, but did not rotate them because the "best" tires were up front...Is this a legit explanation? Also, he said that the yokohamas are inherently flawed so they wear weird even with proper maintainence...I have a feeling that he is just pulling stuff out of his ****, but can anyone verify his claims? Thanks.

15,000 mile service 2006GS300
I just returned from Keyes Lexus in Van Nuys. I was quoted $395 for the 15,000 miles service! I was so outraged that I have called the Lexus USA customer service and I complained about the entire issue. I was told that the dealerships may set their prices as they wish. The customer service representative recommended to “shopping around”.
I was quoted $225 at another Lexus dealer ( I consider this hi too, but it MAY be a reasonable charge since I will get a loaner car for the day as well as car wash).
I called back the manager of Keyes Lexus. He told me that for the $395 I will get “more service” than for the $225 offered at another Lexus dealer. However, the 15,000 maintenance service manual clearly states what the 15,000 miles maintenance should include! Excuse my “French” but the Keyes service department behaves like a hi priced prostitute offering “extra” service. I believe that this is not just unethical but also illegal (I do not refer to a prostitute).
Well, I will be not using any Lexus dealerships for maintenance or repair other than warranty repair.

I have a GS 350 2007' nice car runs great. So far I have taken it to Lexus dealer for everything.
I hav reached my 90'000,idles service.
The computer tells you are required o do. Thier charge was yes pretty high,
I saw a few other good garages which would charge quite less, professional guys with th tools
I checked with sears good price say about $368'00
Lexus was $560.about.
SEar was prompt. Drive in service, and did what was required bill. Was$268'00 or so.the tec showed sign of honesty also.
Next time I will change the axle oil, Lexus did not perform thst service.
A couple bucks but all on the way of preventative maintenance,

I have never really paid for those services because the dealerships offer them at the end of each service you have whether it be an oil change or repair then the printout is usually given. I will say that it is a luxury car and you really shouldn't expect cheap prices. Audi is worse and so is Mercedes.
