Default Lowenhart wheels.... your opinions and knowledge on the matter

Hey guys,

My new favorite rims at the moment are Lowenhart BR5's in black w/ the polished or chrome lip. I am fully aware that these are quite a step up from my previous rims, which were ST-1 Sterns, although they were pretty damn decent themsevles. Anyway, I was wondering what you guys would think about 20" black Lowenhart BR5's on a black 3GS 430?

AND... where can I find the best deals on purchasing Lowenharts. Derrick (I think that's his name... the D2 - Autosport guy), maybe you might know. Thanks for your time guys.

ya'll take it easy,
Niloy

i hear iforged rims quality is kinda poop and if u hit a pothole then they will bend like a $2 *****
i hear work rims are the highest quality but this is all word of mouth i am unsure..anyone care to shed some light with their expriences?

I like the look of several of the Lowenharts. They appear to be of decent quality but...
I've seen several come in for repair. Any wheel can get bent but there seem to be a lot of Lowenharts.
I don't like that they cost quite a bit but are not forged. They are the highest quality cast process but still not forged. For that type of money, around $1200 per wheel, they should be forged.
That being said, I really like them and would given em thumbs up anytime.

You are mistaken, I have had 2 sets of iFORGED wheels on my personal vehicle and can attest to their strength. I have very stiff coilovers and a slam so the car just bottoms out of deep potholes (sounds like engine will fall out LOL) and no damage on the wheels, just keep the pressure at 40psi and up and you will be fine

Lowenharts are very nice wheels, but very soft, we used to have LD1's on our 2000 LS400 demo car and the rough NYC streets kept us at the repair shop. Anytime I get a Lowenhart inquiry, my first question is "how are the roads where you live?"

You have a excellent point, in most cases, I try to refer our Lowenhart prospects to Maya / Maido, as they have similar styling, identical (Maya / Maido are actually a little stronger) build quality, and cost about 1k-1500 less per set.
