Hello,
it would be better if Lexus had done a better job and I would not have to post this. This was an extreme test and the brake performance was ok so that most people would not have any problemes besides changing pads more often. It cant be that cheaper family cars have better brakes. Is this the pursuit for perfection? The worst is the poor reaction of Lexus Germany.

Hello,
Lexus that this will only appear under hard test driving and a normal driver will not encounter these problems. I think this is a very arrogant answer. I mean one of the cheapest cars in europe (new 5000€) was better than the Lexus. They should do something really quick.

That is a very dumb/ignorant reply from Lexus Germany.
Lets hope they see the light.

Well I drove the 430/300 and AWD during the Lexus taste of Luxury, on a Sunday at the end of the 3 day event and the brakes on all 3 cars were fine (not the tires though)
This is weird, I hope it was just that car. The GS did get top CRASH RATINGS in Europe.
Honestly though, I am not a fan of the electronic brakes in the 430.

Hello,
they did the test twice with the same results. And Lexus did have the same results as they say. So this is not a single car problem. BTW Lexus failed the same test in1992 with the 1st gen LS400. They know the test and they said it is part of the test program for new cars.

hm, was LS400 known to have issues with brakes?
As to the Lexus knowing about it and had same results - I think something is lost in translation here. If it is part of normal new model testing, then GS430 would not fail it because then it would not pass Lexus requirements.

Hello,
these problems did not occur during new model testing. Maybe the brake manufacturer changed something in production. Since the GS300 and 430 have the same brakesystem but not the same suspension it would be interessting to know if the GS300 has the same problem.
I will try scanning the results.
