3rd Brake Light Tint
this is the tint i was talking about... i was wondering how u had the third brake light in the rear window covered with tint like that... i went to a tint shop and they said they would have to cut a circle around it... and also does the tint affect the eye sensor for the rear window dimmer so when a cars lights are too bright behind me it would still be able to adjust the rear window so im not blinded.... any help would be appreciated.

My tint shop was able to tint the entire rear window without removing the rear brake light. They pre-cut a single large sheet of tint for the entire rear window and then slid it into place between the brake light and the glass. I wasn't paying that much attention when they were doing it, but it was quick enough that there was no way they could have removed the light, placed the tint and then replaced the light in the time that I looked away.

The third brake light assembly is actually very easy to remove. Either you push it left or right. I do not own a GS, but on my ES you push to the left side to remove it. Give it a try on your car to see what I mean.
I believe the auto-dimming is coming from the rearview and sideview mirrors not from the rear window. Maybe this is a new feature that I am not aware of.
From my experience, with the auto-dimming on the rearview and sideview mirrors plus tinting, it should still be functioning as normal. The only difference is with the tint there would be less light glare to reduce.

that sounds like crap to me! if they are insisting on cutting a circle, i would find another tint shop.
and no, the tint shouldn't affect the light sensor. i think there are some other threads that discussed this a few months ago. i don't know how it works, but the sensor hasn't been less responsive after the tint was done. everything has been working as expected. here's my window in full sunlight:
