I would be the owner of a brand new 2006 Lexus GS 300 AWD if it wasn't for ClubLexus.com. My dad had told me to buy the new GS when it came out, but I heard on ClubLexus.com that a new and improved GS 350 AWD would be coming out a year later. I really don't need another new car at the moment so I can easily wait the ten months for the 2007 Lexus GS 350 AWD to come out. Thank you ClubLexus.com for being so informative! You guys really saved me from biting the bullet and purchasing the 2006 Lexus GS 300 AWD.

Interesting to note that the 3.5 V6 has more HP (at higher RPM) than the 4.3 V8. V8 has higher torque but drops below that of the V6 around 5500 rpm. I am not going be surprised the GS350 outpaces GS430 if the driver keep the engine at >5000 rpm. Another reason to buy GS350 beside better mpg...

2007 or 2008?
Hello all - 1st time poster here. I am currently an Acura TSX driver but was going to get a GS300 until I read that the 350 was coming (more hp w/ same mileage so I decided to wait). Most things that I have read said that it would be a 2007 vehicle which I can wait on but this article says 2008 which might be a bit long of a wait. So if anyone can keep us posted on the latest news - that would be much appreciated.
Question tho: Is there any word on if they are going to have an aluminum option like in the IS? I am not a fan of wood & it seems appropriate since the Infiniti M has this option. I would definetly be sold on a GS if I could get no wood @ all on interiror.
Thanks!

The article also says that the GS460 will be available within the next year, so I don't see how the GS350 won't be available at the same time here too since they're already selling it in Japan. There are other things reported there that are different from other sources too so I won't necessarily trust them as a source of reliable information . . .
