Lightbulb Does the door need to be slammed?

Just took delivery on an '06 GS300, ML/Nav etc. Love the car, truly, but have noticed that you really need to give the door some force to close it. My last car (a Volvo S60 2.4T) was much easier to just shut the door. Is this a Lexus thing, an '06 GS300 thing or is it my car?

Any help would be appreciated. Reading through the threads has been really helpful.

not really...mine shuts w/ minimal effort. Probably so air tight that you have to slam it

Try closing the door with the window open a bit. Does it close the same way?
Do all the doors feel the same when you close them?

with any of the windows open very slightly, all doors will close very easily. that's the proof to how air tight the car is

Default Great to be here

Thanks kb2yza. I'm thrilled to be the owner of our new car, which truly represents a new standard of design and sophistication for the luxury market. It is awesome.
