Default No TRD parts for 3rdGenGS and 2ndGenIS

I am not sure if somebody else has posted this information.

There were lots of rumors about TRD NOT releasing any parts for the 3rdGenGS and 2ndGenIS, and now i got an official answer from TRD Japan ...

Toyota prohibits TRD to develop and do any R&D on the Lexus cars ... Toyota does not think that TRD's products are suitable for an Lexus.

that would be a pretty stupid move by toyota, especially if they are even talking about building some high performance version of the 2gs and 2is to compete with the m and the amg.

both m and amg are sub-divisions of bmw and mb, they are on their own and they develop their stuff on top of what the company already has. *IF* what toyota tries to say is trd will not suppord lexus, however lexus themselves will have their own racing department to build those cars, then i am ok. but if what they says is they wont' do performance stuff for the lexus, that's such a bummer

To look at it from the bright side, maybe they prohibit TRD to develop anything because they're going to start a "GT" line of high-performance tuning for the Lexus brand.
