How to switch off VSC on 06GS/IS
Just when I thought that the fun lighting up tires and kickin out *** ends on GS/IS's was over--I was reading Automobile Magazine(bias against anything Toyota) and found an article on how to switch off the buzz kill VSC. Here's how to do it:
THIS PROCEDURE HAS TO BE DONE IN 30 SECONDS OR LESS IN ORDER TO WORK, AND EVERY TIME AFTER THE CAR IS TURNED OFF
1. Make sure car is in park, with parking brake OFF BEFORE starting the car
2. Start the sexy beast
3. Engage the parking brake
4. Fully press the brake pedal and release
5. " "
6. Disengage the parking brake
7. Fully press and hold the brake pedal
8. Engage the parking brake, then disengage it (while holding down the brake pedal)
9. " "
10. Release the brake pedal
11. Engage the parking brake
12. Fully press the brake pedal and release
13. " "
When "Check VSC is displayed in the multi function display along with TRAC OFF icon you'll know you've done it right--so get ready to light that ***** up get it sideways all that good stuff!!
Check out automobilemag.com to see the video of the 06 GS with out VSC

Welcome to CL. This has actually been posted before in the past several times:

This mode that you just mentioned is really a "Dyno Mode" for testing purposes. It's actually listed as this in the tech manuals. It's been confirmed that this is not a true way to disable VDIM.

Thanx 4 the welcome, never felt so good in my life. I used to be Lextech430 but I took of for a while now I'm back as ImAntiVSC cuz I don't need some electronic babysitter. If I take a turn too fast and eat it thats on me but I don't think it should take the fun out of driving. I wrote this for those who don't have acess to "Tech Manuals" and just happen to be looking around this site. Lexus=cars for dummies, hate to say it
