Default No I Pod or mp3 for GS!!!??

Ok I am between an infinit M35 maybe an RL, or the GS. One thing I don't understand is why Lexus has not decided to put Mp3 on the GS ML system. Mercedes has an I Pod integration as well as other not so premium brands. Why is Lexus lagging? Will it be avaliable in 2007? I spend a lot of time in my car driving and I'm an audiophile who loves a good sound system. I think Lexus should put this in their cars because a lot of other makers are stepping it up.

I have no idea why Lexus didn't include Ipod integration for the GS (perhaps they think this car is aimed at older folks who don't use MP3 players) but I bought an aftermarket solution which completely and seemlessly integrates it into the system.

I passed on the GS for the lag in their Nav and Sound System in technology to other makes, Infiniti in particular.

Now, if you're a true audiophile, the Infiniti's short-coming is the lack of base with some music. Definitely test it out too.

I seriously believe I'll be getting a GS350 and trading in one of my cars when it comes out, but the GS300/430 with its last gen Nav and ML system wasn't worth it to me.

All that being said, it's still bad-*** as a car, and most people are very happy w/ 'em. But like you, I just wanted more recent stuff with the sound system.

It's obvious Lexus also realizes the importance of MP3 support, since the new IS has the aux. input. Would expect MP3 support in future models.

I am not much of a gadget guy but it does perplex me that there is not at the very least an auxilary input available with the ML system. I was not that impressed with the one on the IS350 but it least it has one. My Harley Davidson touring bike has one too!! Now I will probably tear into the dash and console to install a Vaistech SLI to be able to run my IPOD. Well at least I can do it again on my Tundra .

I feel you all. At least if the system could read mp3. Then I wouldnt miss my IPod that much. The new GS has an old navi system? I was impressed by that one!! I guess I'm new to the heavy tech stuff. I just like my good music and I pod. Lexus please address this issue!!!
