how long did you work on the car for with all those on?
i have worked on ls460 and gs350 with everything on (working on vaistech) including headlights and screen and sometimes ac, the battery never died
but another time i worked on a ls430, hid off, but acc on a few times to test the setup, and battery died already

Was it just your interior lights on for an hour or interior and exterior lights on for an hour. If the latter I can see the battery dying. If it was the former, then I would say you have a battery problem.
I've got to say - I'm not impressed with Lexus batteries. I'm on my third one and my car is 17 months old and has only 9700 miles on the clock. My previous car was a BMW which I drove less and whose battery lasted 5 years.

Thanks for write up and new concealed display location
I really appreciate the write up and pictures. It made the install much much easier. I decided to try something little different with my concealed display (CD)location. i wanted it out of sight when I had the car off so I decided to hollow out the ashtray and place the CD down in ashtray. I made the hole deep enough that the ashtray door still closes.
I used the same directions as the ones in this thread. I used a Dremel tool to hollow out the ashtray. I wasn't really concerned with how the ashtray would look since the CD would be covering any imperfections in my Dremel skills. You do have to take apart the mechanism that opens and closes the door so you can drill a hole for the cord to pass through. I am going to attach a few pics so you can see what I mean. All in all, it was very easy.
