Has anyone had a Lexus dealer install the park assist option on a GS that didn't originally include the factory option? Thanks.

Not possible because the PA system is a complex system of sensors and computers that are linked to the many computer controls of the New GS. Alot of the PA is integrated with the factory navigation interface as well.

You can always do an aftermarket unit like this:

Not really as intuitive or cool as the PA system but it's something. Dunno how good the one I just listed above, but that's just one of many kits out there.

Thanks guys. I also checked with my Lexus dealer and they also said it was not a dealer installable option. I don't think it's a must-have option, but it sounded like a good idea especially if you live in the city where you do a lot of parallel parking. I'm not planning on installing an aftermarket kit.

My salesperson said their dealership does not bring in their GS300 AWDs with the park assist option because of the added cost (unless you special order a GS300, my dealer brings in only AWDs).
