Does anyone notice a screeching sound from the tires when you step on the brakes hard? It sounds like the tires are locking which it's not suppose to. Does the brake pedal pulse on the GS430 when ABS is engaged or is there no feedback due to brake by wire.

the sound should just be the metallic pads rubbing against the rotors right? if it's abs, you should feel a bit pulsation i would imagine

I heard this noise when I first got my GS. I just assumed it was the "stickiness" of the new tires.

This is due to the metalic pad as noted by rominl Can somtimes be resolved by several hard stops from 80mph to 30mph if it is glazed over. The pedal will definitely pulse while ABS is working and i don't believe that there is brake by wire only throttle by wire.

Somehow it feels that the sound is coming from the tires. Is there a light that light up on the dash when ABS engages or is it just from the pulsing from the brake pedal?

The only time that you will see a lamp for the ABS system on the dash board is if there is somthing wrong with the system. Are you experiencing pulsing in the pedal during everyday driveing? If so this could be a problem with the rotors themselves...may be warped due to improper Lug nut tightening.

I don't experience any pulsing when braking hard. It just sounds like the wheels lock even though I am still able to maintain control. Does this mean that ABS is not engaging or does the GS430 brake pedal not provide that feedback?

honestly i dont see how your wheels can be locking with moderate braking unless you are driving on dirt or icy roads considering all the electronic there to prevent that hopefully someone with a 430 will chime in about the ABS i know i feel it on my 300.
