I don't mind being the "test" vehicle.
Lemme see if it's possible to obtain the install guide first.
The price of the unit is $800. Tax is $66. If we get 40 people to chip in, it'll only $21.65 per person. I don't mind putting more money down, so maybe we can do $15 a person? Thankfully, Carson is a approved vendor.

So in other words, the unit is for sale. Plus, they are a Toyota/Scion dealer, they do NOT have the unlimited level of access to Lexus information. Because well....they are not a Lexus dealership.
If you want to let "Carson Lexus/toyota Do It", then it will remain the same. Nothing is going to happen. Carson tried, didn't get any info. Unit is up for sale for anyone willing to take a stab at it.

Point Taken...never Did Talked To Carson Though So Apologies If Ppl Got A Little Offended. However, I'm Not Going To Buy That They Don't Have Access To The Information. I Have Friends Here In Fl That Work At Toyota And Have Connections With Lexus Dealers And Techs Since Lexus's Parent Company Is "toyota". I Personally Have Friend Who Work At A Toyota Dealer And Work On Lexus On Spare Time. Not Sure If The Network In South Cali Is Weaker Than Here In South Fl. If It Is Then I Apologize For Assuming That The 2 Dealers Are Well Connected As They Are Here.
All I Was Saying Is That Carson Might Take A Stab At It And Gain, Mine At Least, Other Readers' Confident That They Are Knowledgable At What They Sell. I, At Least, Want The Seller I'm Buying From To Be Knowledgable.

As far as "L-TunedParts" is concerned, Carson is basically a parts dealer/facilitator. They have access to get many JDM parts if you want it. This is something many of us (and other dealers) are not able to do. Appreciate it for what it is. Although they have contacts to do some of what you are suggesting, that is not the core of their business. I don't remember them claiming to be anything else but a parts dealer and I don't think this will change anytime soon.
If you are expecting more than that, you probably need to look into another source. I have gotten parts from Carson and elsewhere. It all depends on the level of service I need.

Sewell Lexus Has It
I have asked my salesman at Sewell Lexus in Dallas about the remote start kit for my GS350awd, he said they can install it for me. But they have not decided on the price yet...

As far as I know Sewell Lexus in Dallas does offer "remote start kit and the installation".

interesting, but what's with the 1970's TV antenna and the external antenna needed on the car ? i recently rented a cadillac dts that had remote start.. the key module was no larger than our normal module and there was no externally visible antenna on the car..
other things lexus should learn from cadillac : i found the one-tap lane change signal very handy.. you just tap the turn signal up or down and it will blink three times and turn off.. rather than needing to hold it for lane changes.. porsche has that as well.. I also found that the trunk actually fully opening when you unlock it with the remote very convenient when your hands are full.. simple stuff.. but i miss it..
