Default Wrecked a wheel

Slid into a curb doing <5 mph in the snow on the GS300 AWD, hit the passenger side rear wheel. I'm gonna need a new one, maybe a tire too. Anyone know where I can just get one without going through the dealer? I know there was a site somewhere, but I forgot what it was

Edit: I just need one, not a full set

Nevermind. Picked one up for $150. Still don't know why the car did absolutely nothing and continued to slide into the curb though

How bad was the damage to the wheel and tire? You were going less than 5mph when it happened? What kind of tires do you have?

I did the same thing when it was ice around here...did no damage to wheel though....apparently even anti-lock doesnt work on slick ice.

Bad enough to where it bent the actual rim, not just a few spokes like I had thought. I'm using the stock GS300 AWD wheels & tires (all seasons)

What confuses me is none of that worked either. No ABS "groaning", no VSC beeping, no traction light flashing, no malfunction or alert lights on the dash, nothing. I did this about 2 feet away from my driveway as well. Just kept sliding. I can't even get the GS430 to do that on summer tires.

Odd... When I slid out a month ago, the traction light definitely flashed. I took
the curve a lot faster than I should have, since no one was around. I was
just lucky I didn't hit the curb with my new 18's.

From what I hear and the limited experience (2 storms) I had with them, the
stock 17'' tires are pretty mediocre in the snow. Next year I am definitely getting
winter tires.

BTW, were you thinking of lexus-parts.com?

Very odd. I got nothing. I never even really going forward, either. It just kept sliding. I have VSC in my ES and I had it on the RX330 (AWD), and I've done things like this in both but the VSC at least beeped at me and tried to correct it a bit. It's all fixed now, but if I'm going to make an expensive mistake as such, I wanted to learn something from it. I still stand confused.

And yeah, thanks, that's the site I was thinking of. I forgot the hyphen
