Correct but not by much. The GS 430 has 300hp and the GS 350 has 303hp. We'll have to wait and see what the GS 460 has in store. Most likely the GS 460 will have at least 380hp since the LS 460 officially stated that it would have 380hp...

actually with the new SAE rating, the gs430 would have only around 287hp just like the sc430 or the ls430 i believe. either way the gs430 is going to be history soon anyway, the 380hp gs460 is what we should be talking about soon

Funny to think that the GS is really just as powerful as the super-sedan of three years ago (M5). You're right though.

Don't think so. It's pretty much a known fact (from lexus.jp) that the IS350 produces 315hp (318ps) under the old standard, just 9hp more than the 306hp figure under the new standard, so the new 4.6L would've probably been rated at just over 390hp at best under the old standard IMO.

hm....about the gs460...i was in tokyo japan 2 days ago and checked the lexus's places over there...and the people working at the dealerships had no idea about the GS460...they kept on saying the LS460...but gs460 is still very hush hush...no information regarding when it will come out...

The only reason people might buy the 430 instead of the 350 is that the v8 is smoother than the v6. When a v6 and a v8 make the same amount of power, the v8 will usually be smoother. Juss my .02.

When will we see a list of features for the 350/460. I wanted to get a LS460L but umm yeah thats just a tad out of my price range so I was going to get a 06GS430 at the end of the year but now with the GS350 coming out maybe I can save a little more cash. The new LS 460 is going to come standard with XM Nav Traffic. For one I wouldnt want XM Nav traffic I would want SIRIUS Nav Traffic, I guess my question is, is the 07 model year GS going to incorporate Nav Traffic into their systems? This is a huge selling point to me and might make me wait another model year although its killing me to wait.

I think that the HP number for the 460 should be 400 on the dot... but i'll take 380!

Now if they could just somehow manage to put in a 6-speed manual or the F1 Tranny from the IS... **SIGH** Wishfull thinking, I guess...
