Or maybe a blessing in disguise. This may force a refresh in terms of elevation
of the hood. I overheard someone complain at the dealer that they don't like
the low hood. I concur It takes away from the presence of the car. Who
knows, maybe they will even put in a decent grill on this thing.

It's hard for me to get excited about the GS460 (or just about any car) when there
is an LS460 that is an absolute @$$ kicker around the corner.

what do you mean by a low hood? you mean you'd rather have a large hump in the hood?

The hood looks kind of low as in diving downwards when you look at the car
straight on. I wouldn't want a hump in the hood either. That would be MUCH
worse.

so you want a larger hood...kinda like the LS? i don't think that would go with the curves of the GS.

i am not sure about a higher hood for the gs too, that might look funny

anyway, from the first post, it seems like the gs460 will be here spring 07. actually i think time wise it's good, coz' the ls460 is coming out in sept, so that makes the engine setup exclusive on the ls for 1/2 yr before moving it over to the gs as well.

but then again, i don't know, maybe lexus indeed thought about having the gs460 and ls460 coming out together, similar to the ls430 and gs430 launch back in 01

For some reason he doesn't capitalize letters when it should. IS and LS can be better distinguished if capitalized. When you go to the Lexus dealer one can see that the LS is capitalized on the back of the cars.

Default What Kind of Deals Will They Give on 350 AWD?

When the GS350 AWD hits the showroom this fall, will it be possible to get a good deal or will the good ole laws of supply and demand give the dealers no incentive to deal and will the buyer who really wants one be faced with having to pay sticker, or close to it?

Default One More Thing...

Also, this is for anyone who currently owns a GS300 or GS430. What do you think of the interior cabin space? MotorTrend calls the cabin "tight" and someone on a prior thread referred to the GS interior as tight and/or cramped. Do any current owners feel that way? I have a 2003 RX300 and love it. If I trade up to a GS in the fall, I know I won't be happy if I feel cramped. How do current owners feel about head/leg/hip room?

Not cramped at all. In fact, feels very spacious.

If you know how to negotiate well, you'll be fine. I got a 2005 Acura TL A-Spec w/ Navigation and a 2005 Acura TSX w/ Navigation for invoice two months after they were released.

that was 2 months after. if these 350's are getting moved rather quickly then they'll stay at msrp. you won't get a discount at all when it first comes out. maybe a $500 discount if you've bought a lot of cars from that one dealer.

I thinkit depends on the dealershipand location. Many smaller dealers have limited allocations and need to make as much as possible on each one. Volume dealers need to discount to move the inventory. If you want a discount, find a volume dealer.
