Hello list,
My girlfriend did the honor of running into the back of a Mazda 626 with my 06 Black GS 430 tonight.
She hit the Mazda at around 5 to 10 MPH. The damage consists of scuff marks on the front bumper cover and a gouge (on the bumber cover also) from the Mazda's tail pipe (I think). Also, the edges of the bumper cover, where they wrap around the headlights, are slightly out of alignment. The pass side is in about 5mm and the drivers side is out about the same. There is no other damage to the vehicle.
My questions are:
Does anyone have any idea approximately how much a new bumper cover is going to cost, including paint and labor?
Can Lexus paint the bumper before putting it on, then install it when the paint has cured? (I'm worried about overspray)
Any input would be greatly appreciated.

FWIW, my wife's 02 SportCross had to have the bumper cover replaced recently. Was around $900, but there was more damage to things like sidelights than what you probably have. I'm pretty sure the body shop did the painting while the cover was off the vehicle. They matched the paint perfectly.

Thanks. I took the car by the dealer today. They estimated repair cost at $750. Said only the cover was damaged and they would paint it off the car. I feel better now.
