So I was wondering , I imagine that the current GS models are suppose to be comparable to the BMW 5 series. The only problem is that BMW was so kind to introduce the 507hp, V-10 M5. So what is Lexus suppose to do to compete with that. Rumor has it that Toyota is producing a Supra superbeast, rumor also says it will be a V-10 to (if I remember correctly). So if that V-10 is anywhere comparable to the M5 V-10, has it occured that it will be able to be transplant into the GS, or would Lexus would consider to put it in themselves. For the nearly 110,000 it is going to cost for an affordable M5, I was thinking instead of a Lexus for probably less than that and similar performance if possible.

There have been several articles by reputable publications stating that Lexus has finally decided to create a tuner line similar to BMW's M, MB's AMG, Audi's S/RS, etc., and that the IS and GS are first slated for tuner versions.

Personally I think that they need to concentrate on a real sport package (suspension, bolstered seats, more responsive transmission and steering feedback, etc.) more so than 1.5-2x the current horsepower, especially since they have the new 4.6L 380HP+ V8 on deck. Too much power without the means to control it would be exceptionally dangerous and frankly unfulfilling.
