Default Headlight Issue

The driver's side headlight on the GS300 turns on regularly, and then shuts off about 2 seconds after turning on. Any ideas? Doesn't sound like the bulb's bad if it turns on. I'm thinking something's wrong with the ballast or something in the wiring.

Maybe a sensor issue? Did you do any tinting? Either way it doesn't sound normal and I would get it checked. GL

No modifications have been done whatsoever to the vehicle. Not even window tints or tires.

Well... we called the dealer today. Apparently we have the first bad headlight on any 2006 GS in the United States... so we're famous now I guess

Default Headlight Issue

I am having the same issue that you had last year. I have an appt on Saturday at the dealer. Did they replace your headlights or was it the ballast? and did they need to replace both sides. I am afraid of having one light brighter than the other.

I also had my driverside bulb replaced due to flicking, 6 months ago.

Our HID is designed at 43k but after 100 hours also it would settle at 48k.

So initially oneside IS brighter than other, but after 100+ hours.. both side are equal now!!!

NO WORRY!!!

I had to have both my headlights replaced at 33K. Theye burned out within one month of each other. It was just the bulbs, not the "ballast."
