Default Question about steering wheel control lights

hi,

went to the dealer for a 5k service. anyone notice that the steering wheel control lights are super dim at night? i talked to the dealer about it and they told me that it is normal that the lights are dim. is there a way that i can get them brighter? please advise. Also, it is not under the Lexus personalization settings.

thanks,

sorry about this. i meant to post it on the 3rd gen forum. mods can you please move it there?

sorry again for the trouble!

thanks!

I agree the steering wheel button lights are too dim. I don't know of any way of brightening them.

I have made the same statement to the dealer and was told "normal." The problem is that "normal" doesn't mean RIGHT or correct... it just means that they've compared it to another vehicle with similar behavior. I am going to complain again!!!

You know, I didn't even know there were lights in the steering wheel until this post so I went out into the garage with the lights off and turned on my car. I had to look real hard and cup my hands over the buttons to even see them but sure enough there are lights there. What we need is a picture of the steering wheel apart to see the lights themselves. See what can be done, an upgrade maybe. It does seem a little odd that they would put lights into a part and have them virtually invisible.
Anyone want to tear appart their stearing wheel?
