Default How many times has your Key Fob been throught the washer?

My wife just pulled my Key Fob out of the washing machine for the third time, and the good news is it still works. It's also been dropped on the ashphalt more times than I can count and stepped on at least twice. I don't know how much more abuse it can take, but I must be nearing the limit. Has anyone had their key fob quit working?

Ours has been through the wash once so far. My wife's key but I did the laundry that day. Ours had the leather glove on it so I don't know if that helped. I took the glove off to let it dry out and key hasn't been any problem and it's been 4-5 months now since it's cleaning.

The only problem with the key fobs we have is keeping them sepearated. Sometimes we have to walk up to the cars to see which puddle lamps light up

Mine never leaves my pocket though. Only time it's exposed is when someone wants to see it, or if I'm switching jackets/pants.

Mine has been through the wash once and since I do the laundry I only have myself to blame. I normally leave the fob in my purse, so I didn't think to check my jeans pocket. It's good to hear that the fob continues to work, because I would be afraid to get stuck somewhere without a working fob!

I'd trade a key fob for someone to do my laundry!

Now if i can only figure out where to manually insert the key part of my fob. Does anyone know. I told the dealer that i could figure it out myself. So, last night i tried, and failed.

The key portion of the fob is for the glove box.
