Default GS300 or IS350?

Alright guys, Im having a REALLY hard time deciding on which car to buy... I need to get into a car now, so the GS350 is out of the question. Since everyone here owns either the new GS300 or 430, Im gonna ask the question of which car would you choose between the two, IS350 or GS300? I had driven the IS350 at first, loved it. Coming from a 04 350z, it rides so much nicer. I went to Lexus the other day, drove an 06 GS300 then retest drove an IS350. GS was so much roomier, rode so much smoother, more luxury features, and it wasnt as slow as I thought the 245 motor would put out, but for some reason, Im still having a hard time choosing between the two. I would have to wait between 60-120 days for an IS350 wih the options that I want or I can get into a GS300 this weekend... What would you guys do??

Those are the exact reasons I bought my GS over the IS 350. The extra room, really helps you enojoy the time you spend in your car. The extra richness, and smoothness of ride you get with the GS simply adds to the experience.

I actually find myself driving the "long way" to destinations sometimes, just to spend extra time in my car... lol

GS all the way!!

I was in the same boat... no regrets... I guess it also depends on what you are trying to achieve... If you want a "luxury" car, go with the GS300... Pocket Rocket (expensive one at that) go with IS350.... Hope this helps....

Same for me... the HP is unbelievable in the IS350, but the GS's 245's a rather strong 245. Also, the gas mileage is EXCELLENT for the size and segment of that car... 22/30

I dunno... I'm pitching the IS350 idea. It's aimed more at my market (young male), but I'm gonna go with the GS300 since it's just more Lexus-like to me. Plus, it's still "cool".

Based upon the responses so far, it appears that everyone here has leaned towards the GS. I will more than likely be joining the GS group!! My dealership has located me an 06 GS300 in Glacier Frost Mica with black interior fully loaded with everything besides the radar cruise. Thanks

Glacier is a GREAT color... we have it on our 300 AWD. It's awesome because it's a beautiful pearl white, changes colors significantly in different lighting conditions, and it doesn't show dirt. You'll love it

Since I have made up my mind on the GS, who here has a GS430 that has taken off their stocks to replace with aftermarket wheels that would consider selling me their 18 graphite 5 spokes. I love the way those stocks look compared to the stock 17's on the GS300. Coming from a 350z with 19's. I really dont want to get aftermarket rims and start the whole modding this again....LOL I didnt like the road noise and ride on the 19's. Thats why Im trying to keep it stock.

If you can't score a pair of those, try the Alessio Super's or California's. They look a lot like the stock GS430 wheels.

Here's my 2 cents...

If I was under 35 or single, I'd get the IS350

If I was pushin 40 or married, I'd go GS

Either way, you're going to have a GREAT car! GOOD LUCK!

Yup, that is about right. If your single your driving with fire in your eyes, if your married you just think about it a lot. LOL

I have been a GS guy from the start so it really hard for me to think of getting into anything smaller. If I was 10 years younger I might be thinking about the IS 350 because I love speed but I got spoiled from the 2nd gen GS right from the start. I love the IS but I just need more space to move around. The GS holds a more luxurious line any ways with a little more prestige.

Very well put Raptor.1 I will be getting my Glacier Frost GS300 this weekend. The dealer has traded one of their cars for this one. They told me no longer than a week and Ill be riding out in the GS. As for age, Im only 25, but I can appreciate the smoother, roomier, more comfortable ride now instead of regreting it a few years down the road. Thanks everyone for the input on this topic. It realy has helped me lean more towards the GS. Ill post some picz once I get her......
