Default Coastal Tech Navigation plug

has anyone installed the Coastal Tech Navigation bypass plug which removes the "I agree" screen and allows Navigation entries while in motion. http://www.coastaletech.com/nav_kit.htm

Default coastal navigation

It's been suggested that a couple of CL members have successfully used this on their GS. I'd like to confirm that rumor.

interesting... for $100 i'd be willing to try it on my IS350. where is that plug located on the IS? if it works on the IS then i dont see why it wont work on the GS considering we have the same generation nav.

Default works on 06 gx470

searched the threads and found that someone got it to work on 06 gx470. https://www.clublexus.com/forums/showthread.php?t=204968
Was wondering if any GS owners have tried this.

I thought I read somewhere that this will "not" work on the GS. Several members "including me" contacted these people in the hopes that they would make one for the GS and after some time they finally said they were not going to make one. I never did receive a reply. That was some time ago though, I say contact them and see if anything has changed.

I too am wondering whether this works; it is a good way to avoid voiding your Lexus warranty, if I am not mistaken.

This will not void the warranty since it is fully reversible and plug-n-play.

I guess i dont kno w how the warranty works for Lexus -- what voids the warranty? opening up the nav unit OR splicing the wires?

I'm sure opening it up wouldn't void it as long as you didn't break anything while doing so. However, if they see the wires spliced, they'll know you tampered with it and if anything goes wrong, you'll be SOL.
