I find it a lil funny you telling people how to invest but u LEASED a Hummer H2, all of 3 MPG

Also, even though cars are not an investment, leasing is renting, while with financing, you have the opportunity to own the car.

Sorry, a little lost here.

no pun intended..

too long for detailed explanations =)

i did not say investment =)..4 yrs ago price of the gas was good..was driving expedition before the hummer trade.....what im trying to say is that i traded a gas guzzler leased H2 to a GS 300 without being penalized or anything;...they took the H2 back without me adding extra $$$.....(got the H2.. first it week it came out)....dont worry i made a couple of mistakes here and there in the past..i still have alot to learn.=

no new car can be an investment...it will depreciate first once you buy it.....you want to invest buy an old car "possible" that it will appreciate and sell it...(BUY N SELL).....that is if you know what ur getting into.....my .2 cent..

I paid $46,500 before tax and fees, for GS300; traded in an 03 denali and put $8,000 down. Paying $670 at 7.8% for 66 months. I'm sure I could have done better but I was too excited and just wanted the automoblie.

I guess it all depends on what you consider a good "investment". If you are considering an investment something that will appreciate in value, then I agree with you. However, I consider my purchase an investment in having an excellent automobile that will satisfy my spirited driving needs, luxury needs, and overall driving enjoyment. That, in addition to the fact that I have purchased a car that will last a long time, and give me reliable service, is why I see paying cash for my car was a great "investment". I will keep it a long time, and I have no car payments, which most in the financial industry count as "bad debt", as you can't write it off.

To each their own, for sure....
