Default Anyone notice that there GS shakes in Reverse?

Whenever I get in the car in the morning and the car is cold and I put it in reverse its shakes a bit like it wants to stall. The car is kept in a warm garage and used everyday and it has done this since it was new and it now has 5,000 miles on it now. I am just curious if any else with this car experiences this. It doesn't seem to happen every morning just every once and a while.

Sorry, I have never experienced the problem you described. Definitely should have your dealer look at this issue.

One thing that I get is when you're slowly rolling uphill, the car jumps a bit. Like, when you're on a hill and tap the gas to move it up.

Prob because you have the GS430 and the engine is different in the 300.

Have you noticed the RPM's dropping when you shift to reverse? If so, it's possible that the idle speed may need to be adjusted.

I don't know if you're talking about the same thing, but when I first back out of my garage in the morning, i notice that as i'm inching back the car kind of (mildly) jolts. Not sure if this is a break issue or an engine issue, or maybe even a non-issue. =)

Then yeah... I have the same experience w/ my car too although I'd say that this happens at least 80% of the time with my car. GS300 AWD.

Gee, so much for trying to help.

Next time why don't you state that the thread is specific for GS 300 owners. But thanks for informing me the 430 and 300 have different engines.

I get the same thing. However, when reversing, my car doesn't jolt.
