GS takes a paint ball hit!
Driving home last night around 9 p.m. and there must have been some darn kids (face it...it was probably boys) hiding in the nearby canyon with a paintball gun, and my front end was hit!
I had a nasty explosion of cream colored paint ALL OVER my hood and driver's door. It might have even been more than one paint ball because it was A LOT of paint. Luckily I was on my way home and that wet paint was only on my car for less than two minutes. I hose it off immediately, but it was too dark to break out the buckets and suds. I had to let the hose water dry on my car and then run out there this morning and wash it before I left for work.
Good thing they didn't get me on my way OUT somewhere. I'd be late for work driving around looking for a touchless car wash, that's for sure!
Just wanted to vent.

Don't sweat it, sure it's a pain but it's probably less damaging to the paint then bird crap or bugs or a paintball size rock headed straight for your car at highway speeds, paint ***** are water soluble mixture of soap and oil, and their washable

It feels like plastic because they tumble the ***** to remove as much moisture from the shell so it's brittle enough to break on impact. The shell breaks apart into sharp pieces which cause the punctured skin. The initial impact is what leaves the welt.
