Default Transmission Delay

People with the Gs300 2006.......My car is giving me a delay when I shift from Reverse to Drive (I do hold on to the brakes too).....Is anyone else coming across this issue or is it normal?

Reverse to drive feels like a 1 second delay with my GS300. I haven't had a problem with it.

I notice about a 1 sec delay. I live on a hill and when I reverse out of my driveway, I am facing uphill. If I'm in a rush and don't exactly come to a complete stop before shifting, I notice a little hestitation and a slight roll back. It's not like I shift when rolling backwards, but when I haven't fully stopped before shifting. If I stop, then it's about a second to shift to drive. Doesn't feel any different than almost any other auto-tranny car that I've driven.
