Lexus is no longer producing the GS430?!?
Hello everyone,
How is everyone doing?
I am sorry for flooding this section with my threads.
I just talked with a dealer from Lexus of Norwood (in Massachusetts). He told me that Lexus "NO LONGER" produces GS430s.
Me: "Hello. Do you have a Blue Onyx GS430 in your dealership?"
Dealer: "I do not have a Blue Onyx GS430." "Lexus no longer makes GS430s. Its been changed to the Hybrid GS450H."
Me: " I know that there is a GS450H." "But the GS430 is still available along with the GS300 and GS300 AWD."
Dealer: "No."
Me: " "
Is this accurate? Or is this guy smoking too much?
Thank you.

Well if the manufacturer will still let you "Build Your Own" I can't imagine your dealer is right:
http://www.lexus.com/lexusConfigApp/...modelCode=9399
Why don't you build the one you want & request it be delivered to your friendly dealer, then ask him if he wants to purchase this "post-production specialty model" You might be able to make some money on the deal

When I spoke to my salesperson last week, he stated that the GS430 is indeed in short supply. But with the 450H and the upcoming 350, the 430 doesn't really have a solid place in the GS lineup. The GS460 can't come soon enough.

To everyone else: The dealer from Lexus of Watertown told me that the GS430 is NOT a discontinued model.

Factories don't just switch engines one day, it takes months of planning and time.
Your dealer is full of crap. If he was GOOD, he would search ALL LEXUS INVENTORY in the states and get the car from another dealer.
If u want a slightly preowned one with 13k miles in that same color loaded, VVTi, our moderator, traded his GS 430 into Hennessy Lexus of Gwinnett when he got his new loaded special order IS 350.

I just visited Lexus of Watertown.
I was able to get $4,100 off MSRP on a 2006 GS430.
This car is in the dealership's lot.
How much more do you think I can knock off?
Thank you very much.

Im sure Lexus has already stopped producing the GS 430 engines and 300 engines they are both great. Lexus has been building the 3.5 liter V6s and 4.6 liter V8s and 3.5w/electric motor for more than year now. It takes a manfacturer more than a year of production before they release the first demos into the bigger city showrooms. The dealer was right about them not being made any more. but he was wrong if he said lexus is not selling them any more. The GS300 and 430 models are very much for sale in my area, my dealer has alot of them on their lot. the price has'nt dropped at all but they are for sale. Most guys are holding them selves back for the new and improved upcoming versions of the GS. There will only be a $1,500-2,500 dollar difference in price maybe even less. If you have to have a GS right now there is nothing wrong with buying it this month. But if you could hold off a little longer(4-5months), I'm sure you'll be even more satified with the up coming 2007 GS350, GS350awd, GS450h & GS460, YES there will soon be 4 available models for sale to suit ever bodies needs in a lexus.
