Does anyone have pics of a 06 and up VIP GS? (not safe for 56K'ers)

Wow, maybe it's my imagination but the rear wheels on that 2GS seem to have some very heavy negative camber.

The rate of tire wear on that car has to be crazy.

My understanding is that changes somewhat when the car is raised on air suspension.... I'd guess not back to OEM specs but better than driving with that crazy camber

I think you may be a bit offended at the fact that I find VIP to be a funny way to describe a car when it's a term by default meant to describe a PERSON.

PS- Is there an echo in here?
Just my 2 cents, but I was under the impression that its not even pronounced V.I.P and has nothing to do with very important persons but is actually a Word not an abbreviation to describe a specific type of car styling in Japan and the word is something derived from their culture not here. I may be wrong though.

It's pronounced Bippu due to pronunciation constraints

Some of these are closer to EXE style than VIP, but you get the idea.

VIP does still stand for very important person. Or call it Bippu if you want but it still means more or less the same thing when translated.

Actually the way "VIP" was mentioned here in this thread go hand in hand with automobiles. If you wanted to talk about Very Important Persons then the Clubhouse section would be the right place for you.

Seriously, who are you kidding?

I guess I was right about you feeling offended. lol

http://vipstylecars.com/forum/index....23168#msg23168

What do you suggest the origins of "VIP" are then? It's an American acronym that stands for very important person. In japan they just pronounce the letters instead as "bippu" and if you ask anyone over there what "bippu" means they'll tell you "a very important person" or a "celebrity" or something along those lines.

Coincidence? I think not.

Who are you kidding?

PS - just in case you want to try for a third smart-*** remark try a Japanese to English dictionary:
http://www.nsri.upd.edu.ph/downloads...Dictionary.pdf
Look under "bippu"
bippu: VIP, very important person
End of discussion. Thanks, drive through. Better luck next time. Sheesh.

Thank You
wait a minute, did he just mention VIPstyle? or are we talking about those Very Important Person GS' that just came out?

Everything you've said about the meaning of V.I.P. is irrelevant in this thread, we are talking about cars here, not people.

We're talking about what the letters "VIP" were sourced from in the description of a "VIP style car"
Again - if you have a better explanation, feel free to educate us all.

Or if you think it's irrelevant what VIP means - even in the context of "VIP style cars" then, well, I wonder why you bothered trying to correct me in the first place?

Oh, I know... because I offended you with my first statement and you've had it out for me since then.

ok...

First off, this thread is about cars (hell, most threads on Club Lexus are about cars, gee wonder why).

Second, if I'm not mistaken, you were the one confused between VIPstyle'd and DUBstyle'd cars?

Third, yes the meaning of V.I.P. is Very Important Person, I never denied it so quit preaching it.

Now, I'll take partial blame for steering this thread off it's course.

VIP12, when are you picking up your GS? if you need help getting Very Important Person items from Japan, let me know.
Also, if you need help with Very Important Person extreme wheel fitment, I'd like to help you.
