It is true that they are two cars for two different types of people. But if you really enjoy driving, then nothing beats the BMW.
I'd tend to agree with you Doug, and so did my original post. Although the BMW's limits are higher than the Lex's, that translates to lower speeds as well. The Beemer is just a much more communicative car when it comes to "feeling" the road so to speak.

It's definitely the "driver's" car......

j/k
I do agree that BMW leather seems harder than Lexus leather but its just a different grade and style, both are quality leather.

BMW seats, especially sport kit seats> anything Lexus has made. Lexus seats are better but still sometimes feel like sitting ON the seat, not in it.

I was in a girlfriends C230 Kombressor last night and her seats are fantastic.

Plus I'm just not sure where my kid's car seats would fit in those "other" cars
Doug, if it's in reference to the topic... you had a 2nd gen GS for the comparison you are making here, not a GS450h, right Different car, different experience from the Hybrid.... just want to provide clarity to your statements.

Not disagreeing that the BMW is more a "sport driver's car" but not everyone in the world cares for that aspect or cares enough to have it sway their entire automotive decision. As I put OEM springs back on my LS I've decided my aging *** needs some comfort and grow to appreciate this perspective more and more.

Right - to clarify, the "other" cars without rear-seat room were the Ferrari's, Lambos, and Porsches - not that some of them don't have rear seats, just that the car seats don't fit so well.

With regards to your other statement about sport not being for everyone, I totally agree. I saw a woman driving a 745 this morning and I thought about how my wife just hates driving my 550 and REALLY hated driving my 540 (though she did love my old 325). The fact is, I can't see her ever getting a BMW. She loved her RX and can't wait for Lexus to make a car based SUV with three rows so she can go back. Different strokes for different folks .

PS - you are not that much older than me, put those aftermarket springs back on your LS - RIGHT NOW.
