Just got my intake from Fujita and installed it.. I love the sound! The fitment is JUST perfect.. I opted for the black to keep the factory look and all the engine covers still fit to a "T"...
Installation was fairly easy... Just refer back to my Tips/DIY page on how to remove the engine panels and the Engine cover only has two 10mm screws. All-in-all, it should take 30-90 minutes depending on how handy you are (or in my case, how ****...)
The black looks really good, did you see the video over in the IS forums, it looks like a nice little gain, let us know how you like it, I just got my chrome one last week but not on yet.
I do feel a slight difference, but nothing phenomenal. Every little bit helps though. I did notice my Gas mileage drop a little, but that might just be me romping a little harder!
Not to **** on our parade, but wouldn't a heat shield or some sort of airbox help? Since it's a N/A engine you'd be losing power as soon as the filter's heatsoaked.

I totally agree. Fujita is supposedly working on a new piece, but no ETA as of yet. If you notice, proper installation would be to remove the intake air inlet in the front of the engine bay. The piece takes air from the front grill and directs it towards the factory box. I've retained that piece using factory rivets and the exit of the tubing is directly on top of the filter. Another thing is that Fujita utilizes a "plastic" rather than stainless steel or aluminum for the tubing. The metals are prone to collect and retain more heat vs the "plastic" tubing... I've tested the temp difference in my buddies EVO w/ the ARC box/heat-shield and the temp difference was ~10 degrees from what I remember. (used a point and shoot thermometer thingy...)
