That is offical it's 2.2% increase which is 1,000. Wow thats a lot of money!!! But you will get the larger brake pads from the GS430 and Lexus link and the 303 horespower. It makes the GS300 seem like a steal now because you can have it at invoice - a grand.

Considering inflation averages 3% a year here in the US, I don't see that as much of an increase, really, if at all.

Don't the GS430 brake pads only last like 20,000 miles or something ridiculously bad? I don't see that as a selling point.

Default Since the Moonroof is now to be included in the base

price as standard it's a wash. The Nav and Nav/Lev packages have been reduced $400. So the net MSRP may actually be less on the fully equipped models. Lexus Link will be offered for the first time at $900. A factory upgrade to 18" wheels on the RWD's will be offered for between $950 (Summers w/spare) to $1,350 (Runflats w/ spare). In the Eastern region we mainly build the AWD's which aren't eligible for 18's. Some have converted their GS300's AWD's to 18's as many threads have confirmed. I'm not sure how much room the new brake calipers will need and I'm wondering if the braking action will be smoother on release at a stoplight etc. The GS350 will now be a true performance car with no apologies to the Bavarian Motor Press hegemony.

That's awesome. I think practically all GS300's were equipped with a moonroof anyway, so it really is a wash.

Everyone was bracing for a hefty jump in price. I don't think anyone expected for price to stay the same (or actually go down) for the second model year of a brand new model. PLUS, there is a signficant jump in power.

What's the EPA rating on this puppy?

It's like GM's onstar, except apparently Lexus likes to charge huge amounts of money just to have the darn system in the car, whereas onstar is slated to be standard in ALL GM vehicles within the next couple of years - it's already pretty common in a lot of them.
