Default GS350 Info on Lexus Website

Just wanted to let everyone know that the GS350 is now showing up on the Lexus website. Not sure there is a lot of new information but finally they are starting to promote.

Info on website currently shows GS350 RWD starting at $44,845 but "build your lexus" still has GS300 model information. Guess website update is still a work in progress. Performance details 0-60 time in 5.7 sec; a dead tie with GS430 . And it appears the GS350 will be on display at the Taste of Lexus events around the US. Hope I get to drive one.

Default Exciting news

New to the forum. A ton of helpful information here about the 350, significantly more than any other site on the web. Looking forward to driving the 350-local dealer here expects to have first one next week.

Still trying to decide between A6, GS350, and 530i. Life is full of difficult decisions.

5.7...not too bad. I was expecting a couple ticks faster, given the 5.1 of the IS350.

Welcome to CL. You'll find a wealth of information on this site.

All three cars you listed are nice and have their distinct advantages. But the new GS350 seems to offer a perfect mix of luxury and performance. Good luck.

Default The GS350 RWD is comparable to the IS350 and the V8

GS430. The IS350 is rated at 5.6 sec. in the 0-60, 13.8 in the 1/4 mile. The GS350 AWD should come in around 5.9 sec. or less. Those numbers put it into the Sport Sedan category. The GS300 (RWD) was rated for 6.8 seconds 0-60. A full second drop in time to highway speed is significant and should give the competition reason to fret... (545i 5.8 sec 0-60, 530i 6.6 sec. 0-60) E500 @ 5.9. Of course then there is the GS450h which is on battery powered steroids at 5.2 seconds and a combined fuel-economy rating of 26 MPG. The blood pressure in Bavaria must be at an all time high....

The IS has been running 0-60 in as low as five seconds flat, and as much as 5.6 from what I have seen. The GS350 is less than a hundred pounds heavier so unless the gearing is very different, I'd only expect it to be .1 or .2 ticks off the IS, despite what Lexus says. I think the real monster here is the GS350 AWD. Are you kidding me? 303HP via four wheels? To me, this is the most desirable Lexus in quite a while for bad weather capability AND performance.

I done knoe Mike. my 03 lexus GS brochure says GS430 runs 14.3 quarter mile and from what I've seen no one can really do that stock. my car feels that quick to me, but I've yet to bring it to the track.

I'm still trying to figure out how the GS350 is almost 200 pounds heavier than the IS350, yet gets better mpg?

Actually the HP on the GS430 is downgraded to 290 hp per SAE test standards.
