I recently visited Tustin Lexus where I purchased my GS350, I asked one of the internet department salesman on the price of the GS350. He mentioned that they are going for $1500+ over invoice. Has the price of the GS350 increased due to supply and demand?
ANY THOUGHTS?

Cost breakdown
Finally someone closer to home. I'm in Lafayette - closest dealer is in Baton Rouge. Houston is close enough for me if I can get a good deal. Did you get your car? What options? Can you tell me the MSRP/Invoice & what sales price + TTL.

2007 GS350: Paid about $4.5k below sticker.
Just bought mine at Mission Viejo Lexus via the internet sales area. 2007 GS350 sticker was $47,147 (included Delivery at $715, 18" summer tires (on GS430 rims), rear spoiler, rains sensing wipers (which came with Adaptive Front Lighting system and headlight washers), rear sunshade, hot and cold seats, cargo/trunk mat and wheel locks).
Paid $42,653 plus Ca tax, $45 doc fee and DMV fees at about $351
Mark Perekrest was the saleguy--really great guy and Ryan Imp was the interent sales manager I dealt with. Great dealer with a great deal?

Anyone purchase a GS350 RWD in Houston (or Texas for that matter) yet? Would be interested in finding out the pricing deals. Put my deposit for one that will arrive mid-december - negotiated about $2750 below MSRP of 48977. Reading this forum, looks like I have a ways to go... unless it's normal for Houston.
Firstlps - I think I saw a red GS350 in the showroom, but not sure if it had ML or not...

Some more feedback - asked for internet quotes from 2 other Houston area dealers. One came back with the internet price of $47,988, basically only $1000 off MSRP. Hmm, maybe I need to make a trip out West!
Still would be interested in seeing what Houston folks paid.

Its very typical with Lexus where probably 75% of dealerships are located on West Coast. This competition drives prices down. I think you are on a right track trying to figure out the best deal others paid in Houston area. Try to check with a couple of neighborhood (no matter how far they are) dealerships as well. Don't drive yourself crazy knocking down a price to CA level, cause with every day passing by you're missing out on one hell of a ride!!!

Well, with my deposit, I am guaranteed 1st right of refusal when the GS arrives on 12/15. Can't wait... but I can wait if people in Houston/Austin/Dallas area are paying much less!

I find this so interesting. Why is it that dealers are discounting new cars in California much more aggressively than in other parts of the country, yet used cars in California seem to be priced much higher? I'm sure there's a logical explanation for it.

I haven't purchased a GS350, but did buy a RX330 last year as well as refer 3 other family members to buy cars this past year in Houston....and I usually find Southwest and Clear Lake Lexus to be more aggressive in getting better deals. Westside/Northside won't go much lower than a few thousand off MSRP.
