but you pay small fuel and performance penalty

Yes. By logic. And you only lose peformance going in a straight line. But then again, I'd rather save the 2 grand.

To ME, the GS 300 AWD was clearly heavier but more forgiving when I lost it. The GS 300 to me was more FUN b/c I did lose it and had to catch the car before hitting the cones.

GS AWD= fun and safe for everyone
GS RWD 300/350 = more fun and be careful if you disable VSC and want to slide her.
