Default rear window around 3rd break light

Anyone has a trick to clean around the 3rd break light, esp around the light sensor area. I can clean the window pretty good anywhere except around the light/sensor. It is really.... a pain in the neck!

Default what I do is...

I use a microfibre towel and invisiglass(sp), I hold the microfibre like a piece of dental floss at each corner then slide it down and around...

GS300ATL- I've tried your method before but my problem is that I can't get the microfibre close to the window. Then I tried to wrap the microfibre around a platic stick and it's really a pain the neck.

Has anyone tried to remove the 3rd light to clean?

GreatSmile, I was wondering the same exact thing. I asked around but still cannot figure out how to remove the 3rd brake light. I know there's gotta be a way.

A product available known as "Invisible Glass" works very well on the inside of automobile glass. Available at most local auto supply stores.

Windex or other water based cleaners can't compare with the results.

SGT, I am sure there is a way. Perhaps, try window tinting forum. They have to remove it to put tint film on. I'll let you know if I find something.

Thanks Tammy.
I don't have problem with product. I just really can't get around the 3rd light area and fully clean it, esp near the light sensor area.

Back from the dead.

Is that a sensor right under the 3rd brake light?I went to the dealer for service and asked them what that was. They had no clue.So thats why I'm here.Does that control the dimming on the mirror when bright lights hit them?

it's the sensor that controls the dimming of your gauge cluster
