Default Power folding side view mirror question

Is there any way to make them fold in when locked and unfold with unlocked? It's a pain to fold them manually with the flip down panel.

i used to think the folding mirrors were kinda funny looking, but now i think it looks kinda cool, i like the feature but i also wish it was sync'd with engine start and lock to open and fold respectively.

I'm in the same boat, I think you'd have to do some custom electrical wiring by tapping into trigger during park or engine OFF.

My in-law has a LS. The mirrows fold in when engine is turned off. Not sure if US version of LS does that or now. He is in Taiwan.

Exactly! My S500 and GL450 both do it and the LS does it so it seems like it should have been a standard feature on the GS. Oh well....

i don't see why Lexus would go through the effort to make the mirrors fold with a button but not allow them to fold automatically like other cars that have the feature. its like have a CD player w/o a shuffle option.

I can see that in places like Japan and Taiwan where parking spaces are limited, folding mirrow function is a big help. Since GS has the function already, perhaps someone will come up with a mod and tie it in to the ignition.

i love this idea. i hate manually having to fold the mirrors every time iget outta my car..then manually unfolding them. It's great that this feature is here, but you have to remember to use it everytime..a bit too manual
