well i just ran to walmart got a small wheelbarrow tire or something
went to the tire place , they removed the sensors and put all 4 of them in that small tire. threw it in the trunk and viola! no more light. its the best i can do unless i can find a way to get them to work with my asanti rims
now i have to find a place to mount this extra tire so its not just hanging out in my trunk

I have 2 sets of rims and tires for my 2006 GS300 and have had lots of problems with the tire sensor warning light coming on. The dealer now wants me to front $500 to buy a new set of sensors for the extra set of rims/tires they sold me (and conveniently did not tell me would require an extra $500 for a 2nd set of sensors).
The big questions is: How can the sensors be overridden? I see some posts discussing mounted all 4 sensors in the spare, etc. but I gotta believe there is someway to disable it through the electronics.
Thanks!

The sensors work, the issue is that I currently have to switch the same set of sensors in fall for my winter rims and tires, and switch them back again in spring for my summer G-Spider rims and tires. The dealer wants to charge me $200 per change of rims/tires so that would cost me $400 per year. Or they say I can buy a new set of sensors for my 2nd set of rims/tires for $500. I just wanted to override the sensor when my one set without the sensors are mounted rather than spend another dime on a 2nd set of sensors - I think this is a joke that the dealer is sticking me with this when they should have 'mentioned' this in the beginning. But of course then they would not have received extra $ for a new set of rims and tires from me, and they probably figured I'd have to buy this new sensor set eventually for $500. Almost seems like bad business to me.

personally I have put 22's on my car and my new wheels have the sensors. My TPS still trip every now and again, the thing that pisses me off is that the sensors are very sensative (i think) but at the same time why doesnt it show or say what tire is low?

I believe that it will set the sensors off. I am not sure but I have tried to do a ton of research and I think that is what I read.
