Thumbs down Bad News, It Won't Fit On The Gs

Just talked to my service manager at Sewell Lexus in Dallas, unfortunately LS460's 19" wheels will not fit on our 2007 GS.

Sorry for the bad news...

Yep! That's correct because the bolt patterns are different. It's 5 x 114 for the GS and 5 X 120 for the LS460.

Bob is guessing it may be partially due to the extra weight of the new LS : https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sho...0&postcount=22

Yes, 5 x 120 is the bolt pattern of the LS460 wheels, they listed that on the tirerack website for the wheels they already have available for the new LS.

Hmm, first Acura goes to 5X120 with the RL and now Lexus with the LS. I guess that is a good thing as more Japanese wheel companies will offer better 5X120 rim styles.

That's too bad... I hope GS460 come with 19s...
Btw... is it possible to go from 5x114 to 5x120 using wheel spacer??

No. Spacers are used only to space the wheel further from the hub, in other words, to push the wheel out.

I think you might be confusing wheel offsets with bolt patterns.

"The bolt pattern is merely the number of bolts on the wheel. As the bolts will be evenly spaced, the number determines the bolt pattern"

I know... just wondering if there's a way around it.
I've seen Honda people go from 4 spoke to 5 spoke wheels... What do you call those things they use?? I didn't know the name of it... but it looked like spacer...
