I can't comment specifically on the ML system, but as a general statement, I couldn't disagree more with the above quote. My RL has the the DVD-A/DTS system and the sound is absolutely amazing. As another poster mentioned, hearing the crowd roar in your backseat is something that can't be explained. The RL also has a feature that's called "Centerpoint" which simulates the DVD-A experience with traditionally recorded CDs. It does a nice job of enhancing the sound without distorting it. I would imagine it's similar to the ML setup.

I beleive the ML was worth every penny. As I have had several very high end car audio systems and felt that it is now time to buy it as it comes, the ML home audio equipmet is top notch and they did it right in this car. I suggest that you use a DTS CD over DVD Audio. Try Steely Dan - Goucho you will not be disapointed the hair will stand up on your arms. Play it between 45 and 50. In suround mode. Let me know wha you think!!!

I agree. My experience has been that DTS has a more awe-inspiring sound than DVD-A

I usually test my system with Sarah Brightman, esp the 5th element track. I had an Acura before and everytime she hits her highs, the sound would start to clip and sounds distorted (thought I was gonna blow my speaker). When I played it in the GS with ML it was awesome, no clipping, no distortion

I don't have the ML but I was thinking about upgrading my door speakers and tweeters upfront. Do you think this can make a big difference on my system without upgrading the amp? I just think if I upgrade my speakers with some nice high end stuff, it would sound alot better than stock NON-ML with just spending 200-300 dollars. Any thoughts?
